Lux - Jet combat engineer of Fireteam Lignite

History: Following Fireteam Lignite's a successful string of conquest of previously untouched worlds, the Diamonds commissioned Master Engineer Torbernite to create a fourth Jet for the team. At the time, Torbernite was theorizing with using volatile hard light to create new gems that didn't require maintaining physical forms and could use their own light as weapons. This gave her the opportunity to put her theory to the test. Using a hard light generator recovered by Fireteam Lignite from an old enemy warship and a modified kindergarten injector, Torbernite painstakingly sculpted her new daughter using Peridots as a base model. Unfortunately, the experiment was a failure. While a Jet was born, her hard light composition made her highly unstable and prone to spontaneous detonation while unable to shapeshift and create a sustainable physical form. Fearing that the Diamonds would have the new Jet euthanized, Torbernite, the other Jets, and their Pearl developed a solution in the form of an external stabilizer that would allow the new Jet to form her light into a solid state without randomly exploding. That stabilizer was eventually converted into a shell mimicking a physical gem body allowing LGNT 04 to blend in with other gems. With 04 unable to shapeshift or summon weapons from her gem, she went out of her way to construct dozens of different stabilizer shells each with different shapes, sizes, forms, functions, and weapons, all of which could harness her light as a weapon. These shells could be stored in her gem allowing her to freely change and in and out of them instantaneously like a limited form of shapeshifting. This made her highly unpredictable on the battlefield. While other gems fought using a singular form and weapon, 04 switched in and out of her different shells depending on the situation. One minute, she can be in a shell the size of a Ruby zipping in and out of the battlefield with blinding speed, the next, she can be in a shell the size of an Opal fusion laying waste to enemy armor and aircraft. LGNT 04 is regarded as the most dangerous member of Fireteam Lignite both for her unpredictability and her intelligence. She would go on to earn the warname "Lux" after single-handedly immobilizing a fleet of enemy warships allowing Homeworld's own ships to destroy them without suffering their own casualties.

Skills, Abilities, and weapons: Lux is supremely intelligent, able to formulate solutions to complex problems especially regarding the technology of other civilizations. She has a knack for studying and reverse engineering them for use by her team. Because of her natural curiosity for enemy tech, she is able to operate any vehicle or weapon of non-gem origin without a problem. Enemies often find themselves under fire by their own weapons when Lux enters the battlefield. As an ability unique to herself, Lux has the ability to use her own light as a weapon. Depending on what shell she is wearing, she can project hard light in the form of light and heavy artillery, concentrated beams, or shaped into melee weapons. Using a particularly unique shell, Lux can also convert herself into data in order to infiltrate enemy cyberspace and causing mass chaos to their battle net. Being a member of Fireteam Lignite, she is also a master at hand-to-hand combat though she does prefer shooting things. Lux is an engineer, a marksman, a hacker, a saboteur, and a soldier wrapped up in a neat mechanical package.

Primary Stabilizer Shells

Mark I Technician Shell: The Mark I Technician Shell is Lux's primary shell for non-combat use. It is a combat ready shell that allows her fire  off a lethal electrical current through her hands and it is nimble enough to make the most out of her martial arts abilities. It also allows her to seamlessly interface the stealth corvette, the "Darklight.," Fireteam Lignite's personal warship of which she acts as the co pilot. This shell is used when the team is on standby or off duty.

Mark IV Decimator Shell: The Mark IV Decimator Shell is Lux's primary combat shell. It is light and fast, giving her the ability to fly at super sonic speeds. Its main weapons are the guns on both arms allowing her to fire a salvo of hard light projectiles or a concentrated beam of plasma. Attached to the guns are a series of retractable blades for extreme close-quarter-combat. They can also be heated in order to pierce through heavy enemy armor. Another unique feature to the arm attachments is the ability to re-purpose enemy technology converting them into data and storing them in the arms. The arm attachments can then transform into any of the weapons stored as data of which Lux has collected thousands from various civilizations.
