Jet Zornhut Guard (Guard of Wrath)

Here's another pose for Jet before I get started on my Citrine Ahegao piece. Here we have Jet performing the Zornhut Guard or Guard of Wrath from the medieval German style of longsword combat. This guard presents a ready position that is well wound for a powerful stroke which can be intimidating. The image referenced for this pose comes from the German fencing manual "A Thorough Description of the Free, Chivalric, and Noble Art of Fencing, Showing Various Customary Defenses, Affected and Put Forth with Many Handsome and Useful Drawings,"
"A Thorough Description of the Art of Fencing" for short, written by German fencing master Joachim Meÿer and illustrated by Hans Christoffel Stimmer published in 1570. As for the weapon, I decided to use one Jet's signature swords, the two-handed Falchion with an Elmslie Type 3C blade (German and Italian longsword techniques can be applied to this weapon as well). Though we have no physical historical examples of two-handed Falchions, they have been depicted in numerous medieval and renaissance artworks.
